All Glass Mousepads FAQ
What makes CLUSTRS glass mousepads different?
CLUSTRS glass mousepads are designed to balance smooth, low-friction movement with tactile feedback and reliable stopping control.
Rather than creating an uncontrolled, ice-like glide, the surface delivers a speed-leaning balanced feel for tracking, flick shots, micro-adjustments, and everyday movement.
Do all CLUSTRS glass mousepads use the same surface?
All current CLUSTRS glass mousepads use the CLST 1.0 micro-etched surface, so their core speed and control profiles are closely matched.
The main differences are size, total thickness, edge design, strengthening method, artwork, and limited-edition status.
Is CLST 1.0 a speed or control surface?
CLST 1.0 is a speed-leaning balanced surface.
It offers lower initial resistance and a smoother glide than most cloth pads, while maintaining tactile feedback for tracking, micro-adjustments, and controlled stops. It is designed for users who want more speed without losing clear control.
Is CLUSTRS suitable for my first glass mousepad?
Yes. CLST 1.0 is designed to provide a more manageable transition than an extreme speed-focused glass surface.
It will still feel faster and more direct than cloth, so a short adjustment period is normal. We recommend keeping your usual sensitivity at first and making small changes only after becoming familiar with the surface.
Which glass mousepad size should I choose?
XS, 260 × 210mm: Best for compact desks, laptops, office use, portable setups, and smaller mouse movements.
S, 400 × 300mm: A flexible option for everyday work, general gaming, and medium-to-high sensitivity.
L, 500 × 400mm: Recommended for low-sensitivity FPS players, wide flicks, sustained tracking, and full-arm movement.
Measure your normal mouse movement area and available desk space before ordering.
Should I choose a 2.5mm or 3.5mm glass mousepad?
Neither is universally better.
The 2.5mm version sits closer to the desk and provides a lower, more gradual edge transition. The 3.5mm version feels thicker, heavier, and more firmly planted.
Thickness changes the physical feel, edge profile, and weight. The main glide and stopping performance come from the CLST 1.0 surface.
