FAQs
Which CLUSTRS mouse skates should I choose?
Arctic White dot skates use a smaller contact area and generally provide a lighter, faster feel.
White Orbit Donut skates offer a wider support area and a slightly more stable, controlled feel. Mouse weight, skate placement, and the number of skates installed will also affect the final glide.
Are PTFE mouse skates necessary for a glass mousepad?
PTFE skates are strongly recommended because they provide a smooth and predictable glide on glass.
Some original mouse skates may also work well, but performance varies by material, thickness, shape, and wear. Avoid using damaged skates or allowing the mouse shell to contact the glass surface.
How often should I replace my mouse skates?
There is no fixed replacement schedule. Skate wear depends on playtime, mouse weight, movement pressure, surface cleanliness, and skate material.
Replace the skates if the glide becomes rough, scratching sounds appear, the skates become noticeably thin, or the mouse shell begins touching the pad.
Can I use glass or ceramic skates on a glass mousepad?
We recommend PTFE skates for CLUSTRS glass mousepads.
Glass-on-glass or ceramic-on-glass combinations may create excessive noise, unpredictable wear, or surface stress. For a smoother and more controlled experience, PTFE remains the safer choice.
